Rhonda Reynolds - Vice President

Rhonda and her husband Rob moved to Los Angeles from Chicago in the mid-90’s and opened their restaurant, Masa of Echo Park, five blocks from their home in 2004. Rhonda began working when she was 12, for her neighbor’s concession stand business and Rob found his passion for cooking (working the fryer line at a Brown’s Chicken in Chicago) at the age of 15. As a little boy, Rob’s mother would take him to one of her favorite restaurants in Chicago for cabbage soup, Kip’s, owned by Rhonda’s grandparents. (Rhonda and Rob like to think their eyes met across the crowded dining room when they were children, though they didn’t meet until years later in college.)  More years later, they are so grateful to be able to share their dream, Masa, with their Echo Park family of friends and neighbors.

Rhonda serves on the Rampart CPAB and Dodgers Neighborhood Community Advisory Board and has served in the past on the Gabriella Charter School Advisory Council, the Echo Park Film District Planning Committee, the FILMLA Community Relations Subcommittee (representing Echo Park), GEPENC Governmental & External Affairs Committee and proudly as one of the first Block Captains for Eric Garcetti’s CD13 UNTAG program.
